Meetups are local groups who organize and regularly meet to focus on particular interests, skills, niches, etc. You can easily find one online by going to MeetUp.com. Enter a zip code and explore Meetup groups within a 50 mile radius. Its amazing how many different types of Meet-Up groups you’ll find, from Internet marketing to basket weaving, to cars and motorcycles, to comedy improve, yoga, education, painting and drawing, learning social networking, etc. Meetup groups are usually free (or have a nominal cost for coffee or treats), and are community based, so it gets you up and out among like-mined folks with whom you can exchange ideas and come away with some golden nuggets to incorporate into your evolving portfolio of interests, experiences and connections. You can even start your own MeetUp group! Its important to note, however, that you don’t outwardly “pitch” your business.
In learning how to market online, I learn from every new experience or exposure, online or off.
