Great blog Luanne. The Silver Eagles are truly some of the most beautiful coins ever minted and Numis is a good way to start collecting them. As a long term international investor, personal investment banker and money manager, I strongly believe everyone’s portfolio should include physical silver and gold assets. I also believe that coins and the Silver Eagles in particular are one of the best ways to hold silver. This is true for several reasons of which I’ll just mention a couple. First and foremost, because the Silver Eagle is U.S. Government currency (i.e.,legal tender) and its ownership can never be deemd illegal by the government as was done by FDR during the Great Depression. Second, because the coins are government minted the pecious metal content is unqustionable, which provides easy and precise pricing fungability for the ungraded coins and an indication for graded coins. Third, the highly graded and perfect MS 70 coins are of limited issue, and when provided in the ANACS sealed treasury boxes, available though Numis, there is no question as to the truth and reliabilty of the grade or the grade of the specific coin one is interested in buying or selling. These aspects of the coins Numis is selling are all highly beneficial to the ease and safety of investing in silver and give the buyer/investor alot of protection and convenience. Oh, did I say the Silver Eagle coins are georgious and hefty, and that people love to hold them because they “feel” like real money
(i.e., oldtime coins with silver in them, minted before 1965). About that time, when I was a kid, my grandma gave me a silver dollar minted in 1898, the year she was born.) I still have that silver dollar coin today!

Thanks for your comments, Dave. Numis uses all the professional graders, too, not just ANACS. I appreciate you stopping by and look forward to having you and other great action takers on my team.
